A few readers seemed to like where the story was leading, and y’all forgot who exactly we’re dealing with here! I’m not saying Jones is completely hopeless.
Good news is while he has a full time job with the Dos Ruedas Sherrif’s Department and he’s stil freeloading everything anyway hes got to have a pretty decent savings set aside somewhere. For emergency beer and gas no doubt.
Equal Opportunity Freeloaders??? Sounds like politicians to me !! Do no work, accomplish nothing, reap the salary and benefits…and a few (K) dollars under the table from big oil and big business !! Jones really could be a politician ; this all sounds logical to him !! David in Fresno
Alan, you write good comments here. But you are not realistic about politics !
Politicians don’t have to care what people think at all !! It takes money to win big elections, money from special interests, money and advertisements sway the voters!! And every politician takes money under the table!! There are many times more lobbyists in Washington than politicians ; they are there to make sure politicians vote their way. The people count for little or nothing, at least in Wash DC. (Sorry Rob, I couldn’t let that comment pass.) Back to Jones !! David
We don’t do politics here! And we only do religion at Christmas and Easter. The rest of the year we’re unschooled savages who only care about steel, chrome, and horsepower.
I’m guessing that Alan’s point is that Jones doesn’t care what other people think, where politicians have to appear to care enough to get elected.
Good explanation or interpretation, Rob. I certainly accept that politicians have to appear to care what people think, unlike Jones and Alfred E Neumann, ” What me worry? “

Sounds good to me as long as he gets away with it. How many are doing that in the real world?
Once again, my readers point out issues I hadn’t even considered. Aah, the (mentally) rich world of the internet!

Politicians have to actually care what other people think.

I think the steel and horsepower are 2 of my favorite things. Chrome may just be on that list too
Notable that chrome is maybe a third. Bikes is fer ridin’, not fer lookin’ at.
Yeah, my my chrome is usually coated in bug guds and road dirt anyway. but it looks shiny at least once a year
Hey I know someone that acts like Jones, has money except when it is time to pay up. LOL
It aint freeloadin, its cost o doin business with the best.
LOL…You sound exactly like Jones’ ego. Hey wait, are you trying to write that into the strip. That’s not bad stuff there…
