I gotta thank my personal editor, Mrs. Campbell for helping me work this one out. I didn’t even have a clue where to take this comic until the time I’m usually into the pencils, so this one took off late.
I’d also like to thank reader Griz for pointing me toward the LED lights. I doubt they’ll be here by the weekend, but I think I’ll put the rest together as time permits and see how the whole thing does.
I don’t know how much I’ve said about the book I’m working on, but you can expect it by July. Lots up in the air right now about that, but I’m interested in an informal survey on whether you’re interested in the book. I’d also love it if you ask some of your friends, riding or not, and see if they’d buy one. I really want to hear some “hell, no, I’m not buying that” just to balance out some of the yes votes. There will be some extras in it you can’t get anywhere else, as well as some shoutouts to my cartoon heroes like Thunder Baggett and Matt Marino. I’m kind of psyched about it!
I’ve been pretty bummed about the look of the strip on the last two days, and couldn’t figure out what was causing it. I picked it up tonight-anti-aliasing was off when I generated the web file. Today should look better. This weekend I’ll get in and fix the other.

I know I would be interested in it and have a few freinds tha would like it also. I need to do some work on my bike, leaking primary cover or transmission seal. Just need to find the time to clean it all up and see just what the problem is. I just hate taking time out from riding to do it.
I’ve been through that a few times with the leak. This is the first time I’ve had a cracked (fractured?) primary. If you check the oil from the leak spot you might be able to tell if it’s engine or trans oil. Trans is usually a bit thicker, of course.
I replaced the transmission seal on my shovel last summer I think. I’m told that if it keeps wearing out seals it’s an issue with the mainshaft. Local wrench told me to get piece of PVC (I dont’ remember what size) and make a driver to install the new one. Worked like a charm.
I will be picking up a copy. It’s good to see Porkins on track to take the right path in life.
Thanks Alan. You have to wonder, however, if following Jones’ lead is the “right track”. Mechanically he’ll be alright.
Any track that winds down a nice canyon on 2 wheels is the right track.
I think you’re onto something. Once again you’ve pitched out something I can use in this crazy strip. Maybe sooner than I think.
You could follow Jones to hell and back. He already knows the way.
I’m sure I’d see some familiar sights along the way, Richard, spots where my put my initials for posterity.
Hell No!, I’m not interested in buying no stinkin’ book. Just joking. Heck yeah, I’d buy one. Now, get off your backside and get it done.
