This is the third strip I’ve done at the larger size of 21″ wide on the original. I have a lot more fun drawing, and I think the results are better.

Thanks to all the folks who stopped by yesterday and dug the Jones September 11 tribute strip. I almost didn’t do one because it seemed in some way that it might be more of the media hype. In the end, however, it was important to me to honor my country and the folks who have put their lives on the line, and sometimes lost them, for this thing that many take for granted, the thing called freedom. The comments I got both here and out where I post the strip were encouraging and made me feel I got it right.  I also got a nice little write-up by my friends at world famous Johnny’s Bar and Grill, a Hollister Legend and home of one of the best burgers in the county.

If you’re new to Keeping Up With Jones, I should point out that you can at least catch up With Jones by becoming a member (free, no risk, no emails given away) and downloading the free .pdf containing the first six months of 2011, January through May–fifty-nine strips in all. Maybe one of the folks who already have it could speak up about this thing. Seriously, is it any good?

Members can also earn daily points and points for comments that can be used towards discounts from supporting sites and free Jones goodies from me.

You can also get the strip delivered by email to your digital doorstep three days a week by entering your email in the form at right. If you do this, keep your eyes peeled for a confirmation email–this step is required to start delivery of the strip.
